In the 8 AM session, we trained in the rain. Coach Brady explained to the Quarterbacks that training in the rain is important because you never know when one of your games may be played in those conditions. Creating a baseline as a Quarterback as it relates to what throws you know you can execute in those conditions is imperative. We worked on base Quarterback fundamentals, including the throwing sequence, drop mechanics, resetting in the pocket, moving up and out in the pocket, out and up, and many more Quarterback movement strategies.
The 10:15 AM session was held with better conditions as the rain subsided, and we were able to get work in. We covered some of the same Quarterback drills, and we added some different Quarterback pocket movement variations as well.
It was a quality day of work. We practiced a lot of visualization of coverage structures and the techniques found in those structures.
